I have struggled to like this wine until now. This wine really needs to breath for about an hour then it seems to really let its true chardonnay come through. I drank this with Potato Chips, Gruyère cheese and olives. It turned out to be quite a treat. Served to 7 others at the same time and they thought it was fantastic.

Classic Columbia Crest. Descriptions seem to remain the same across vintages, delightful vanilla and oak. The 2019 vintage seems at this time to be best if opened pour a glass and then vacuum seal the bottle. Performed a taste test with friend between newly opened with little rest and a bottle that was plugged. After a weeks rest, the plugged bottle was the winner. I’m sure this will change with age.

For anybody with this left in the cellar, I believe we have hit this wine in the bulls eye for time to drink. Silky smooth with a medium to long finish. It is absolutely delicious.
