A lovely, strangely low tannic expression of the grape. We decanted on account of its youth, took about 45 mins to lose the tartness and tightness. Olives dominated the flavor, with herbal qualities throughout, very multi-layered, high acid, with enough body to stand up to a grilled bison strip.

Barnyard-mushroom nose dissipates quickly. Tart, tangy mouthfeel, probably a little too soon to drink, a little one dimensional. The promise of the nose doesn't play out in the taste.

Subtle, not overpowering, a little too much fruit to be elegant, but was gentle with the blue fish with which we paired it. Very full and long mouth. A savoring sort of wine.
