Decanted for 3 hours and paired with a red wine mushroom risotto with braised beef. The wine was delicious. Dark ruby color, earthy, oak, cherry, leather and some Rutherford dust! Nice finish and an elegant wine.. typical of this appellation. I would buy it again.

Liked it, didn’t love it. We had a 2012 argiano BdM that we liked better. Both were decanted for 2.5 hours before we started drinking. I think this one could have used a solid 4 hours in the decanter. it was a little tight and not as elegant as I had expected. Dark fruits, very long finish. I have another and will cellar for a long time before opening.

This wine was hitting its stride after 2.5 hours of decanting. On the nose was eucalyptus, bay leaf, fresh herb, mint and shaved dark chocolate. Nuanced and Elegant wine with integrated tannins with fresh pepper, black berries, and spice on the finish. Yum. Paired with a ribeye with peppercorn sauce. Delicious
