Monastrell (a.k.a.) Mourvedre Garnet in color with a hint of straw and leather. Tobacco, leather, dark fruits and raspberries appearing mid-palate. Giving it a good swirl; mouth feel is velvety with perceptible tannins. Paired with a little cedar cheese as an appetizer and the fruit flavors popped out. Raspberries !! Blackberries, blueberries as well. Advertised as a full bodied wine but for myself I would classify it as medium bodied. This Tarima Hill wine is price friendly and really lovely. Will let it open a bit to see if and how it changes. Very pleasantly surprised and will certainly buy again. Rikki enjoyed it as well whilst missing a spiced finish that she loves from her favorites.

Clear edges to violet to ruby color body. Light mouthfeel that like a concerto starting soft to an impressive crescendo. Red fruit hints start early and tannins and fruit meet mid-palate hinting at darker fruit. A pleasant warmth on the finish leaving behind strawberries and a need for another sip. Will be accompanying this with a home made pizza predominantly red with flavorful veggies a touch of Italian sausage or salami and no cheese. Looking forward to the pairing. An really nice quaffing wine and the hopes are it does even better with the meal. Rikki likes as well and her approvals typically signify a nice finish.

Tannins right up front. Light & soft mid-palate, red fruit, raspberries. A touch of warmth on the very short imperceptible finish. Rikki likes this one still as the finish for her is warm and pleasing. Paired it with a Tuscan white bean dish which worked nicely for our tastes. Neither overpowered the other.
