I had to keep coming back to this to give it a chance. It mellowed out after a while but only slightly. Talk about BARNYARD. It even has a saddle! Serious acid meets serious tannins meets Funkadelic. But then it started to grow on me. However I have really been getting into funky wines these days. Don't get me wrong. It was an interesting experience, but I'll never buy this again. It's just not for me.

Really enjoyed this rich and silky sake with lush tropical fruits and balanced acidity. Very yummy.
Astor: A delicious Daiginjo that's full of tropical fruits on the palate: passionfruit, guava and green apples. A very ripe style yet still dry on the palate. Perfect for those saképhiles who crave a lot of fruit. $38

Yum. Somehow floral herbaciousness in the middle of all this fruity goodness. Not sweet, but definitely a lush, medium bodied, happy wine. Unoaked. Low, soft tannins. Purple reign. Easy to drink!
Astor says: This unique little Ribera marries the juiciness of Beaujolais with the dark fruit of traditional Ribera. It's quite fruit forward and totally unoaked, making it a nice quaffer on its own or with a simple platter of cheeses and charcuterie.
