As other's have noted, intense and rich. Stewed black cherry, blackberry, chocolate, tobacco, slight floral undertone. Residual sweetness, a port-like heat to it.

Made with traditional grapes (Sangiovese/Canaiolo), and traditional large format oak casks. Medium (+) acidity, chewy tannins, and some nice tertiary aromas and flavors coming through. Black cherry, pomegranate, mushroom, nutmeg, clove, cinnamon, and leather. Enough concentration and structure for further aging.

Still in a somewhat primordial state; decanting and aggressive swirling was needed to coax it out. Dried cherry, violet, rose, raspberry, licorice, fennel, slight iron note. In balance.
