Mixed forest berries, sweet spice, garrigue, dried herbs, eucalyptus hints; less ripe berries on the palate, acidic arch, dusty prevalent tannins that smooth out on the finish. Overall yowsa in my mouth! Nice effort by Master of Wine Justin Howard-Sneyd.

Pours with a thickness like maple syrup, this coats the glass (and palate). Macerated prunes, raisins, cocoa, caramel. A light lift on the palate carries it for miles. Super with soft and chewy ginger molasses cookies or Pain d'Epices.

Pale ruby; red fruits, bright acidity, tar and earth with silky smooth tannins. Not a lot on the finish, but for $15, this wine delivers and is food friendly. From the Grumello sub-appellation.
