wow. I was expecting this to be dead, but this is magnificent. I find it really hard to believe this isn't pure syrah - its has notes of olve, animal and a real tanic backbone. This might even improve fom here. Real length on the finish, with complexity on the nose and palate. A fine wine.

Quite open - given the vineyard. Didn't stand up well to a big burgundy glass, but in a smaller glass it showed old vine sappiness and length on the finish. Earthy mid palate unsuprisingly. Good premier cru quality level.

Not ready yet I think. Did show some class, with a refined mid palate, but finished awkward and a little acidic and green.
