Dark golden orange colour like a middle aged Sauternes. Wonderful tropical fruit, heady nose and a surprising amount of sweetness in the mid palate, though the finish is dry. Indeed, it has all the profile of a full-bodied sweet white wine without the actual sugar. A great bottle - they aren't all.

No doubt this is a New World Shiraz; very glossy profile and pimped up sweetness that's just offset by a decent amount of acidity. A bit short on the finish. Certainly drinkable, but not on my future buy list.

All that's left here is acid, acid and more acid, a strange remnant for a ripe year like 2005. No obvious specific flaw but hard to think it isn't flawed.
