In the early 1990’s Robert Oatley released the Rosemount GSM. This was the first wine to be labelled using the GSM acronym – it’s soft round texture and rich succulent fruit proved a huge hit with the drinking public and today the same GSM acronym is used widely throughout the industry.
Awash with moreish dark fruits this soft, rich and supple GSM delivers fantastic value.
A blend of 40% Grenache, 33% Shiraz and 27% Mourvedre matured in French oak for 6 months. Very deep dark red black tinged colour with a dark red hue. Fragrant dark raspberry, dark cherry, liquorice and incense aromas blossom out of the glass followed by subtle scorched earth and spicy fresh herb notes. Ripe, juicy and beautifully supple in the mouth, dark raspberry, dark cherry and liquorice fruit caresses the palate with undertones of subtle scorched earth, infusions of incense and spicy dried herbs. Sleek and smooth with velvety tannins, sumptuous, lush dark berry fruits glide effortlessly onto a long moreish aftertaste.

Dark cherry red in colour. This aromatic Merlot opens with notes of morello cherry and blue fruits, followed by violets and dark chocolate aromas. The palate is bursting with dark cherry and plum flavours, sweeping along into savoury notes from the French oak. Lovely natural acidity combines well with the tannins and fruit to keep the wine enticing and structural. This wine is blended to be enjoyed now and for five years.

Unexpectedly not like a Shiraz at all, red cherries on the palate and bright red colour.
