Light to medium gold color. Complex mix of lemon peel, and yellow and tropical fruits in the aroma. Lush mouthfeel on the palate. Smooth ripe fruit with just enough acid to keep things balanced. All in all a delicious Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc. Unusually big and round for the varietal. Excellent length.

Light to medium red with a little bricking. Gamey, plums, and spice bouquet. Mature complex soft, yet flavorful palate. Mouth filling texture.

Medium red color with a touch of mahogany. Fragrant licorice, mineral, tobacco, cassis and smoke aromatics. Still has a little grip and tannins. Very concentrated for this property. Enjoyable now. Long aftertaste. Should continue to improve for at least 3 more years. Unusually powerful for this property.
Outperformed my 2020 note.

7/9/2021 12:09:00 PM - I would full decant all 2005 Left Bank wines at this point because most of them are still really tannic. I don’t just pull the corks on wines from tannic years. I only pull the corks on really old wines thatI don’t want to get too much air.
