unbelievable and very cool. when i poured this for a bunch of guests, we all immediately said pinot due to the remarkable light red hue of the wine. however, to much surprise the nose and palate had so much going on. firmer body than what i expected from the color, this wine continued to evolve throughout the night. i will definitely be looking for more.

absolutely a disappointment. a subtle nose of earth and red fruit. very little on the mid-palate and finish. could be shut down? i have had this 3 times in a 1yr and a half time period. the first time it was beautiful, the second fading quickly, and then this last time. where it was a real let down. i suspect something else contributing to the wine's decline...

after tasting my first bottle, which reminded me of an unracked pinot/cola endeavor, and reading the previous tasting note; i was very skeptical to say the least. my "pigeoned holed" thoughts were reinforced when i opened my last bottle. green, woody, no pleasant scents. the cork was 3/4 soaked through. how can this be?? a bottle with the name of bobby kacher on it...a feeble attempt? luckily, i remembered what my great wine mentor and friend told me...let it sit. i came back to this wine about 30 minutes later...what a relief. oregon pinot fruit (cherry sensation with spice) and an aggressive cigar box-type nose, made me take a double take. nice red fruit in the front palate, silky and smooth on the mid palate to the finish. a decent finish...but all in all what a real "pinot" should be...not a grenache-like (aka rock candy) wine. elegance, grace, complexity...this wine has it. enjoy and cheers!!
