Cork broke in half while opening, and I'm thinking uh oh....but happily it's still a big wine upfront, fairly young even after 11 years in the cellar. Lots of dark fruit flavors with a nice lingering cherry finish. If it's been stored well this could easily go another 5-7 years or more, so no need to rush it.

This is a really intense, red fruit zin that jumps right out of the glass at you. Still tastes very young, almost tart right out of the bottle. Tons of red fruit, berry flavors. This can probably cellar for another couple of years, if drinking now either decant or open for an hour or two before drinking. I'm kind of baffled by some of these other ratings. Each to his own, but this is what zin is all about.

Excellent pinot noir from an exceptionally good 2009 vintage in California. Dark, very rich and lush, black cherry flavors with hints of vanilla and dark berries. Despite the richness, nice texture and not jammy. I've now tried all three of the BG vineyard labels from 2009, found both the C&T and Las Alturas to be exceptional, but for some reason the C&T easier to find in stores, including Costco. Drinking beautifully now, but should also cellar nicely for a few years.
