Dark garnet/ruby with medium plus viscosity. Beautiful aromas of black fruits - blackberry, black cherry, black currant. Hints of chocolate and coffee. Nose confirmed on the palate, along with spring violet blossoms. Still a young wine at 10 years-old, but with nice tannins. Full body, medium-plus acidity, medium-plus alcohol. Long finish and well balanced. This is a very good wine that will age further. I paired this with a broiled veal chop, grilled vegetables, and roasted potatoes.

Dark red/purple. The nose is dominated by black cherry, blackberry, and dried herbs, but there was an off-putting hint of animal/barnyard. I'm not sure if this is on purpose or this is a defect (Bret) in this bottle. The palate was slightly better, and the nose was mostly confirmed. There is a subtle hint of ocean/saline and a strong black pepper finish. Medium plus alcohol, medium-plus tannin. The balance was off due to the poor nose. I would like to try another bottle to compare my initial tasting here.

Dark red/purple with ruby edges. Powerful nose, with oak, black cherry, and blackberry. Mature, baked aromas. Spicy/peppery note. Nose confirmed on the palate. Subtle blueberry and black tea notes, along with a white pepper finish. Medium-plus alcohol, nice acidity, full body, medium-plus tannin. Good overall balance. Very good wine overall. Excellent value! This would pair well with grilled meats and summer BBQ.
