94-95 Beautiful nose revealing elegant dark fruit. Full bodied. Inky color. Incredibly rich, dark and powerful. Not for the faint of heart. Smooth throughout with tar galore! Perfect tannins. Smoky. Tar and then more tar. Leather and cedar in the background. Chewy. Delightful and seductive tannins. A finish that didn’t want to quit. If you enjoy drinking sediment at the end of the bottle, which I do, then you are in for a special treat. 9 years of storage seemed to hit the sweet spot, although this CS also showed beautifully as I drank bottles over the years. An unbelievable winner aged 22 months in French Oak barrels (note that my more recent CS vintages are only aged for 14 months and seem to lack the same beauty). Yoram Cohen at his finest, and perhaps only bested by his 2011 Enosh.

90. Tannins were barely detectable. Dark fruit was nice but missing oomph or character. Wine was more enjoyable several years ago. Perhaps end of drinking window should be 4-5 years.

93-94. 10 years of storage was well worth it. A delicious concoction of leather and dark fruit splashed with light hints of tar. Superior to the 2009 version and a close 2nd to the 2004 vintage.
