[3.5/5] Slightly bland compared with the previous bottle. Perhaps it was aged too long? Or the bottle could have been of lower quality. Hard to say.
There is almost no aroma to speak of. Maybe just a hint of currant. To indicate how little aroma the wine has, I could actually smell the alcohol.
The flavor was much better, but still subdued compared to the previous bottle. It is slightly bitter, but the smoothness is still there. There is the taste of currant and plums, but it is short lived.
The aftertaste comes quick, but does linger. There is a bit of blackberry or maybe cherry hidden beneath a subtle bitterness.
The is the most ephemeral bottle of wine I have had in a long time. It definitely wasn't bad in any way, just exceptionally mellow.

(4.5/5) Absolutely delicious. Very easy to drink. Very few of the harsh flavors common in wines at this price point. The bitterness and tanins are mellow, and blends well with the hint of sweetness that is also present. I would put this slightly on the dry side, but only slightly. There are no standout flavors so this is not a bold red as I typically think of bold reds. However, it is full of body and complex subtle flavors. Unfortunately, the nose is a little weak, as is the aftertaste (which is fairly nonexistent).
The aroma is heavily plum with a slight currant undertone. There is also a hint of dark cherry. The flavor has a stronger currant taste, but the plum is still there. There is another flavor I can't quite place underneath the plum and currant. It isn't dark cherry, but maybe black berry? After a sip, everything dissipates quickly without any evolution.

[4/5] Very smooth with little bitterness. Aromas of currant and plum. Bold flavors of currant and dark cherries. A subtle aftertaste slightly on the bitter side.
The first night was very good, but the second and third nights were significantly less good, though not bad.
