First bottle tasted a couple months ago after being shipped from storage. Felt quite mute and under wraps at the time; not expressive. I put it down to being shipped recently an only an hour decsnt.
Last night did a 3 hour decant and felt the cedar and peppercorn come out much more noticeably. Tannins were quite silky and well behaved. Medium to full bodied and with good amount of baking spice and earthy tones/tobacco. While acidic the fruit - black cherry and mulberries felt secondary and in the offing. Curious to see how this develops in coming years as spice tones down

Beautiful nose with cedar and mint becoming more pronounced. Still some lovely acidity and almost plush, succulent dried fig and plum - tannins are soft and silky. Lovely wine at this stage . Enjoyed with vennison burgers

Dark inky ruby in the glass. Let it decant 3 hours before enjoying. Violet, red cherry new leather and espresso on the nose. Buckets of acidity to taste with strong tanning, cherry and fresh strawberry with syruoy finish. Great complexity and luscious fresh fruit with lot of age ahead
