Solid merlot based bdx with typical notes. Decent qpr at $30 given the age and quality. Drinking well now, needs an hour or two to open up. There’s a lot of “grand cru” bdx out there that falls flat and while I wouldn’t go that far to describe this wine, it’s not exactly the complex elegant wine you hope for before you pop the bottle. That said, it’s a well made wine and I would it drink again.

Plenty of life still left in this wine, at least a few more years. Elegant napa cab that's nowhere near the jammy oak bomb you see sometimes at this price point. Benefits from a 2 hour decant or longer. Silky and balanced with medium tannins that have softened nicely, sufficient fruit and acidity to keeps things lively.
$30 WTSO Wine Details Grapes: 83% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Cabernet Franc, 8% Merlot Appellation: 100% Napa Valley Barrel Aging: 22 months in 43% new French oak
Tasting Notes Aromas of black currant and dark fruit form an appetizing bouquet, followed by gorgeous flavors of bright red fruit. The soft, round tannins provide a satisfying mouthfeel and a fine finish.
