An incredibly complex nose of honey, herbs (including mint), beeswax, lemon, spice and linament - it really smells like something you might rub on aching muscles! Dry and full-bodied in an oxidative style; the full effect of the nose doesn't come through on the palate (still young?). The finish is harsh and tannic and the alcohol is noticeably high. A very interesting wine, which would probably benefit from decanting.
