NOSE On the nose, the wine has pronounced aromas of lychee, white blossom, rose water, . The wine is developing.
PALATE Structurally, the wine is dry and has medium+ body, moderate alcohol, and low acid. It has a notable soft and oily texture.
The wine shines on the palate, showing medium+ intensity and flavors of fresh lychee, white blossom, cream, orange flower water, white pepper, allspice, lemon curd, latex, and honey in addition to the other aromas found on the nose. The wine has a medium finish, with mostly the lychee flavors lingering.
QUALITY The wine is balanced, with strong concentration of flavor and aromas, and some points for complexity and finish. There are some basic tertiary aromas, but they are rather faint, and the finish is medium but could be longer. Though it’s difficult with a low-acid grape, additional acidity would improve the balance. As is common for wines with pronounced floral aromas, the intensity on the palate struggles to match the intensity of the nose. It is of good quality.
AGING POTENTIAL This wine is delicious now and may continue to evolve in complexity for a few more years, but the acid structure is not conducive to long term aging.
Paired exquisitely with korma.
