2 weeks after tasting 1999 vintage, recognisably the same wine. Colour right out to edge, no bricking as expected. Again a floral nose with no funkiness. Very good length with pronounced acidity all the way through, excellent balance.
Excellent wine and I would say with at least a dozen years of life ahead.

Despite the other tasting notes, this is definitely not from Bendigo.
My favourite Australian pinot, and very hard to find. The fruit normally goes into Sallinger sparkler. A clear meniscus with bricking starting to appear around the edges, beautiful limpid colour in the centre. Beautiful floral nose, no barnyard or undergrowth here. Medium weight with a lovely strand of acidity running from front to back. Not much attack, all the flavour is in the mid a back palate. Excellent length, well focused, easily up to Premier Cru quality.
Such a pity it's so hard to find!

Beautiful garnet colour with a clear meniscus. Woody, but not oaky nose. Lovely entry, attack starts in mid-palate, grainy tannins appear towards the back palette, slightly hot on the finish. The tannins throw it little out of balance but a couple of years would round it of nicely. The 15% doesn't show on the palette, but I feel pretty pissed well before the end of the bottle!
