Nose: Dried strawberry and leather, some ethanol varnish. Palate: Quite a lot of fresh grape and sour red grape skin initially; tart and woody raspberries; sleek and sinewy tannins; ethanol (14.5%) is detectable on the finish and not entirely integrated. Based on my prior notes, it would appear that the tannins and acid have been holding steady over the past two years; there's maybe been a slight improvement since then, although I'm not sure from where the grape-y-ness is now coming, since I found this wine to be more red fruit forward a couple of years ago.

Vraiment excellent. un plaisir à partager avec de bons amis. très fruité, délicat. Au nez c'est assez fabuleux aussi. The body is medium/full. The wine finishes long.

Robust and enjoyable with no obvious faults. Full bodied with big red and black berry fruit, balanced with moderate acidity and some oak. Subtracted a point for having a little too much heat on the finish.

Was quite excited to open this bottle, but possibly it's in a funk a bit early or I'm just not that thrilled. Bought 4 at Costco about a year ago for can't quite remember and is probably a decent qpr, but I'm guessing this is a modern style again? Could be wrong. But it was a pop and pour with lots of fruit and mouthfilling tannins. This leads me to believe this will develop some with a few more years. 88 or 89 for me.

Mainly dark fruits with some zingy acid. The oak is a bit much for my taste. A fine food wine but nothing really distinguishes it,
