Certainly towards the top of the Australian grenache ladder. Cranberry, ripe strawberry, tar, cedar, spice and even some darker berry fruits too. Good with length and extraction with fine, grippy tannins. Certainly has softened since 2012 and is ready to go now.

Rich, lush and opulent fruit. Velvet mouthfeel, ripe red cherries, lozenge, crushed stone minerality. Old vines showing their stuff here -- a real panache. Alcohol shines through a bit, but well balanced in general.

Wow. Perhaps the best Australian Grenache I have tried. Deep red purple color. Aromas of cherries, a hint of raspberry, meats, blackberry, pepper and smoke. Similar on the palate, but with a wonderful, fresh minerality. I saw one writer say it has malt, too, and I think he was right. Great depth, with layers of flavour. All bound up at the moment and will take years to unwind. Could almost have gone a point higher. Outstanding.

While quite obviously Aussie with its bright, plush fruit, it also has a healthy dose of black pepper and minerality that I love in good CdP. Ultimately too young but huge potential.

Brut of a wine and drinking too young. Even day 2 showed this wine still has a few years ahead to soften.
