  • Sadly my last of the 2010s. I'm proud that I held on this long, but wish I had another few for the years to come. Still plenty of acidity and semillon goodness to keep it going. This really is one of my favorite wines to drink.

General PSA - Don't be afraid to give the Bedrock whites some quiet time in your cellar, even the SBs (especially the judge), they only get better.

  • The Karatas is one of my favorite wines; I'm very sad to see it go.
Whether you like older whites will dictate whether you're happy you held on to the 2010 this long. But its definitely not too late if you like the age like me! Stored properly, I'd give it another couple of years, but its a bit of a gamble after that. Kudos to the Bedrock team.

  • Enjoying this in honor of its inspiration, a great dog who enjoyed a great life.

Agree with below notes - waxy, tropical, in “phase 2” of its development and with much to say. This wine speaks with the wisdom of a decade of age. The semillon dictates the more viscous mouthfeel, and yet the SB pineapple acidity is there. Like a Sauternes without the sweetness (which is basically what it is)

  • Wasn't expecting much given recent notes but this was surprisingly very good. The nose is amazing, rich waxy tropical fruits. The palate is a bit behind with a bit too much oak and maybe a touch of heat sticking out, but still has good acidity.

  • 6 years later, and another 88. The 2009 of this wine got me excited, with it's similarity to a white Bordeaux. This wine is not white Bordeaux.
