Gorgeous wine. A bit of age seems to really add weight and complexity to these. Not the typical light and crisp California SB (which I also enjoy), the Arkenstone is more about floral notes and minerality with age starting to bring on a touch of an almost brown sugar or honey accent. A nice acidity balances the full body to keep it from being overly heavy.

Medium gold. Aromas of white flowers, with barely a hint of fresh cut hay and matchstick. Medium-bodied in the mouth, with a silky texture, citrus fruits and minerals that that carry on to the long, minerally finish, that is at present slightly marred by a grapefruit-like bitter note. 89.

Every time we open an Arkenstone SB, we comment on how well-balanced, finely structured, and downright delicious it is. A simply wonderful wine that goes with more dishes than we thought likely.

Not your typical Ca. Sav. blank. Very French in profile. If I tasted this blind, I would not think it's a Ca. Wine. Excellent wine. Highly Recommended A+++

Way too much oak for my taste.
