  Showing its age with some funkiness, dried cherries, cassis, plum, raspberries, earth, a little incense, and herbs on the nose. Plum, chocolate covered cherries, earth, black raspberries, a little new leather, and herbs on the palate. Nice acidity, integrated but a little grippy tannins, very good finish. Seriously fun wine. The fruitiness probably peaked a few years ago, but it’s in a really interesting stage right now.

  Dark and inky with dark fruit on the nose with a bit of raspberry. Black spices were present as well. Rich and full in the mouth with well softened tannins. This was wonderful and well balanced, a joy to drink. Excellent now and I believe will age some more although I would guess because of it's smoothness already, 3-4 years tops.
