Medium yellow. Ripe stone fruit and a touch of honey. Rich and actually weightier than most Mosel Auslesen. Wonderful peach followed by a twist of tangerine, only moderate sweetness (by way of comparison, last week, a 2013 Nahe Spatlese was far sweeter, a sign of where things have gone over the past decade). Not a lot of minerality, and the acidity was not as strikingly etched as it was when I had this 3 years ago. That is quibbling though-we loved every drop of this bottle.

A big Wow wine. Perfect balance and velvety smooth. Will probably outlast the Rockies if properly stored, but why wait for it to get better if it's already this good?

Moseling Along at Lotus of Siam; 4/11/2011-4/12/2011 (Las Vegas, NV): Very light with glint of green. Honeyed apples. Limpid, pure, spicy and crystalline due to superb acidity. Glorious, prototypical Mosel with the balance to last for decades.

Wowed another group with a bottle of this wonderful auslese. Same notes as before, just would add that it is velvety smooth with great body.
