'Pink grapefruit.' Again, lightly floral on the nose. Pear fruit and a distinctly saline crunch to the palate. Even gets a little peachy. Acid doesn't jump out front. It's the nose that grabs you.

I served this in my wine course. Surprisingly floral and herbal in the nose followed by a peachy mid palate and a refreshing finish with good acidity. Easy to drink at 9.5% alcohol.

(Geil Bechtheimer Heiligkreuz Scheurebe Kabinett) ($17.00) CORE-LIST WINE. The site name (Bechheimer Heiligkreuz) will appear only on the back-label. It’s a true Kab, 85º Oechsle, tasted in-bottle; it’s a Scheu in the sagey direction with lots of pear-blossom; right now it’s soft angles and fruity charm and ripe melons. But Scheu often finds its mordant feline self with a few months in bottle, so beware.

Happy fun beverage! Joy juice! Total Scheu. Low ABV, high acid, lots of fruitiness. Buy, but leave some for the rest of us.
