Deep gold, leaning towards bronze. Large bq w nuts, butter, ripe melon, some oak. Large body w fruit still alive, a bit lacking in acidity, aftertaste w minerality and alcohol. not much complexity. Drink within 2 yrs. Had expected a bit more.

On the nose: honeysuckle and honey Ripe honeydew melon and honey and finishes with citrus and minerals. A whisper of a nice young Sauternes. Quite unique as far as Chardonnay goes. Curious on what another 1-2 years will do.

Time is treating this chard very well. Drinks best to me slightly chilled to allow all the fruit and some butter to shine. A bit edgy and tight when cold. Nicely balanced in a classy but decedant style. Some decent minerality on the finish.

Quite sweet for a chardonnay but in a good way.
