On the nosedDense fruit and wet leaf, with dried blueberry, fig, crushed strawberry and blackberry, hints of rosemary. The flavor features similar dried fruit, leather, rosemary spicy finish, with a bit of anise. Solid, well done - maybe a bit past prime.

Nose of ripe blueberries, strawberries and a dash of sweet butterscotch. Flavours on the palate of raspberries and warm fruits. Starts quietly but boldly hits the back of the tongue (in like a lamb, out like a lion). But this wine mellowed appraciably in a short time. Medium bodied. High tannin. Was fruity and dry or semi dry. This wine mellowed greatly after a few minutes and integrated well from its initial boldness. That said, both drinkers thought that this was extremely interesting and full of character when drank quick out of the bottle. Open, pour and decide if the tannins overwhelm. If they do, wait ten minutes and try again. Repeat. This mellows quick, so enjoy a progression of tastes over a very short time! Great wine to start the evening.
