Not decanted. Uncorked an allowed to breed for 45 minutes, then followed over 3.5 hours out of the bottle. Dark brooding nose of mature black fruit.
Profile is nicely balanced between fruit and structure. Though this comes across the palate relatively dry, I’d like the finish to linger a bit longer and to exhibit more layering, but these are finer points for wine I’m giving high marks.
This was my Last Bottle, and I’d have to imagine this is Anuar slightly past the peak of it’s life. Drink up.

Odd: CT barcode 61864742 doesn’t match inventory although Barco description matches wine/vintage. Tobacco, heavy toasted oak, vanilla, pine and spice on the nose. With 75 minutes of air this is in a great place, very smooth unapproachable, softer/more watery than when opened, Medium dark fruit.
In the heart of its drinking window and an outstanding wine from a weak vintage.

Pop and pour, pretty tight right out of the bottle, 45 mins of air really brings this wine to life. Deep, dark coloring, creosote on the nose along with dark plums/black fruit. Coats the front-palate very nicely with a silky finish and fine-grained tannins, though the finish only lasts 10-15 seconds. More dark fruit, lavender. A very good wine, an outstanding 2010. Good through 2019 or longer, but no reason to wait.

Two occasions; first time via Coravin with 45 mins in glass, again a week later with cork popped but not decanted and allowed to rest for an hour. Dusty tannins dissipate with time but this still shows some tightness within the bright dark fruits. This is a great wine from a questionable year, but produced very well.
