Pronounced buttery, citrus nose. Mainly citrus fruit but secondary to a surprisingly buttery, honeyed palate. The oak is quite delicate and integrated and the wine is well balanced. Not terribly complex but a nice bottle. Next day, toffee and vanilla had taken over on the palate. Quite nice still but not much fruit or bite.

Lovely nose with white flowers, mandarin blossom, and wet rocks. Fuller bodied, with a rich layer of fruit. Nice minerality, though a bit of a short finish.

{cork, 13%} Rather anonymous white-flower nose, but served too cold; moderate acid but thick texture, gentle oak is present. I couldn’t extract much flavour from this at all; the 2011 was streets ahead.

Baked apple, good concentration, slightly sweet spice and finish. Good overall but expected more from United Airlines business class to France.

Very good Macon! Clean, crisp, apples, well balanced. Very good QPR. Grade: B+. Well worth repeating.
