Damn this is good. Concentrated. Depth of flavor, nice complexity, not too modern, or traditional, for that matter. Dark cherry palate, light potpourri. Med tannin. Not too earthy at all.

Winemaker here made the two-100pt Numanthia wines back in the day. 'Soft edge.' Hungarian, American and French oak. Ripe and modern nose, but with a swampy green undertone. Very solid palate, with nice structure. Medium tannin. Red fruit. Excellent vintage.

Seemed a bit austere; acid too high.

Prominent notes of bright red fruit along with leather/coffee and a little Bret.

Opened up after about a half hour decant. Great value.
