There's quite a bit of residual sugar here, with sweetness spreading across the mid palate. Acidity is very good, which helps with balance. Oak and vanilla are prominent, with the smoky dark berries mingling with caramel on the back. Structure is solid, but overall it's a little too jammy.

A decent Cabernet for $13. Dark, smoky berries, with a bit if vanilla extract and earthiness on the backend. Displays both oak and tannin but it's manageable. Medium finish.

The color is a dark ruby to garnet and when tipping the glass to let the light through it is clear rich garnet red with substantial legs. The aroma is moderate and most of what I pick up is oak. I'll try to pick out the other aromas when I have a glass to sip later. This wine is dry, medium to full bodied with a freshness of acidity. I was worried it would be overly tannic as it s still young but the tannins were medium and firm but round and soft making it wonderfully balanced. The flavors are moderate even subtle with oak predominating on top of a jammy berry flavor. It has a very long finish which makes me want to sip it slowly to savor fully the flavors and the finish.

A little lighter than expected with more red fruits than dark, nicely balanced, very pleasant.
