Immediatly: short and discrete on the palette ; slightly jammy sweet on the under tounge. Nose muted, but nicely balanced suggestion of raspberries, blackcurrant and cassis. Dry, light and joyful viscosity to the mouth-feel. An immediate joy.
Certain to be a revealing and balanced wine with air-time, but is a fresh, critically satifying wine at opening, with or without food. Would be a fine accompanyment to a morsel of Delice, Camembert, Brie de Meaux or Pierre Robert, cherries and toasted oated crackers.
Plus 15 minutes: fresh violets to the nose, low mint, and leather and ceader to the palette.
Fine value. Superlative quality for the not light, but yet modest outlay.
Buy and drink with assurity of satisfaction.

Lot of spice on the nose on opening, which mellowed over the next couple of hours to develop dark fruits and oak. Enjoyed this wine with bbq. Not something I'd keep a keen eye out to get again, but very nice.

Splash decanted followed over the evening. Started off very tight not giving much on the nose or palate. The nose never really opened up, but after a few hours the palate deepened with red and black cherries, cedar and spice cake. Slightly chewy tannins. Medium+ bodied enough acidity to stay fresh. It will develop a bit further but ready now with air. Solid, but no fireworks for me.

Fully ripe, not much mileage left. Better to drink up soon.
