Decanted, fine sediment. A strong nose of barnyard floor which took over an hour to dissipate. Ruby red with hints of orange brown. Cherries and spices. Good not great. Past its best, surely. Completely broke down after 90 minutes.

Blind Dinner at Mark's (Chicago, IL): Served blind. The earth and mushrooms on the nose of this had me guessing pinot noir right away. Tasting it though, I had to second-guess myself a little bit. Too much sweet fruit on the palate. New world jamminess... this wasn't Burgundy...
