Just a very enjoyable easy drinking wine. Not to be compared with Italian Barberas. This is a distinctively California, high altitude take on the varietal. Far more fruit forward than its Italian cousins

Phenomenal! The dark purple in the glass belies the strawberry and red fruit nose and flavors. Mild tannins and light/medium body with a wonderful brightness on the palate that compliments food. Paired with a grilled heirloom pork chop and the bright fruitiness was the perfect dance partner.

Homestly very lactic. Some raisin and wood on it though.
