Misplaced tasting notes but from recollection: The flagship wine from Carmel is a Bordeaux style blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, petit Verdot, Malbec, and Cabernet franc. Not mevushal. Deep purple in appearance with heavy viscosity. Nose was medium intensity with dark fruits and earthy notes. Full bodied wine with well integrated tannins and good mouthfeel. Wonderfully balanced on the palate with dark fruits offset by earth, secondary, and tertiary notes. One of the few Israeli wines that embraces an old-world style. Enjoyed this wine very much.
