An incredibly rich and wonderfully ready to drink kabinett. Most do not age like this, but the GK extract and expert wine making add up to a longer-lived, formerly slightly sweet kabinett. The sugars are now perfectly resolved so that the honey, cumquat, petrol, and Asian pear come together in a mellifluous, drier wine but with an almost light spatlese-like viscosity. It took 20 years for this to come together. The Berncasteler vineyard produces fewer floral notes than neighboring areas like Urziger and Wehener. So expect a slightly more linear experience than with other more floral Mosel vineyards. A great find.

The same review as on April 8. A wonderful legend.
