73% of the blend is comprised of Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah, it gets wacky after that, including smaller portions of Touriga Nacional and Grenache, Merlot and Cab Franc and Petit Verdot. It’s a fruit-driven blend to be sure, a mix of Cab cassis and Syrah berry mostly, with notable depth and intensity and palate-staining impact for the modest price point. But of course this is Billo, so there are subtleties – mineral and garrigue and earl gray tea – and there is also carefully-managed texture, with dusty-fine tannins and wonderful propulsive energy.

Really nice. Deep ruby colored, leather and leaves on the nose. Earthy taste with moderate tannins. A bit of spice and savory notes. Complex and long finish. Steal at <$20

3 hour decant. Very fresh and bright at the moment, with crisp red fruit, saddle leather, hints of vanilla and oak most apparent. Accidentially left this in the decanter overnight and had some the following evening. Still quite youthful! I think this will blossom into a very nice wine, but still a touch too young for primetime. Drink 2023-2029.

Lovely. Deep ruby. Lots of menthol on the nose. Lots of herbal, black fruits, moderate tannins and acid. Amazing QPR

P&P, served too warm to really do it justice (outside at a BBQ on a 90* day). Good black fruit, decent structure, hints of tobacco and vanilla.
