Excellent vintage with long finish, fruit forward taste of a big boy. Smooth. Decanted 90 minutes and consumed over 8 hours. Paired well wit our steaks. Slight trace of asphalt initially, earthy to some but this evaporated after half a glass.

What a nice surprise. I've held these since I got them from the winery. Was not sure how they'd be. Nice red to garnet color, medium body. Lots of fruit, but not overwhelming. Very balanced, with lots of layering in the mouth. Tannins fully integrated. Excellent long finish. Reminded me of a Bordeaux.

Drinking quite nicely right now, and will be at its peak in another 6 to 9 months. Great expression of Stags Leap Cabernet Sauvignon fruit: dry, velvety tannins, with a heavy dose of dark fruit, and a hearty hint of casis. Yum!

Needed time to open, but decent after that. Limited sediment. Deep, dark red color. The grapes are a bit muddled, but still drinkable. Medium finish.
