  Shared this with my wine group at a NYC steakhouse. I liked it, but not everyone did, and its a definite downgrade from my previous bottle (both in double magnum format). But its an enjoyable wine, with a solid QPR, plus its always fun to drink from a double magnum.

  Drank this from a 3 L bottle along with 3 other magnums, as part of a Big Bottle night. This was drinking very well. We decanted about half of it, about 45 minutes before we started to pour it, and the large bottle probably worked as a decanter for the rest. It just kept opening up during the entire dinner. I had a glass at the end of the night and it was still getting better. 14 people shared this and 3 magnums. This was the first or second favorite of the entire group.
  
  It had a nose of strawberries with some wet earth, and meaty aromas. The palate is soft with light tannins, a medium acidity, not as much as I was expecting (although with very few tasting notes, I really didn't know what to expect). I have a few more bottles and I think it will last for years to come. For what I paid, an amazing bargain!
