Took about 15 minutes to open up in the glass. Nice rich nose of plums and a taste of blackberries. Well made and fairly smooth as now is a good time to drink this '04. Seemed a bit thin or too medium-bodied for a syrah though... didn't get much spice that I typically like in a syrah.

Nice! Blueberry pie and blackberry jam assault the palate, what a great wine. Couldn't get enough. Would have much preferred to drink it with a rib eye steak and a chocolate dessert or a pie of some sort (instead of by itself). This is a gvreat wine I wish I had more of.

This one needs to be decanted or allowed to breathe a while. I couldn't pick up any distinct flavors until a couple hours in. Then, chocolate, dark berries and oak.

Really has come along nicely the last couple of years. The oak is really minimal. Blackberry jam and other fruit.
