Fruit is fading, yet there are still dusty tannins. Very drinkable still, but not much concentration of flavors. Nose has a stewed quality. At 17 yrs, not bad. 87 pts.

Have to agree with G&T. Rather oxidized and past it's best. Also purchased from K&L, they rarely lead me astray but definitely won't be buying this again. Maybe 2 years ago it was still good but not now...

-- popped and poured -- -- tasted non-blind over 2 – 3 hours -- -- 60% Merlot, 35% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Petit Verdot --
NOSE: smoky; rubber; smells a bit tart; shoe polish.
BODY: black-garnet color of medium-deep depth with bricking at the edges; medium to medium-full bodied.
TASTE: smoky; good ripeness for the vintage, but the fruit seems simultaneously rich/concentrated and hollow; good acidity; more purple fruits than red; hint of leather; no typical pencil lead; plum; this is a very nice wine for $15. My score may be a point or two generous.

Syrupy plums, with no improvement after decanting. Borderline undrinkable.
