A nose of dark fruits and spice, dark garnet in color. A full bodied Cab, with currants, black cherry, blackberry, some earth and chocolate on finish. A solid Cab, drink now. www.winelx.com

A beautiful wine. Took an hour to open from cellar temp. Wonderful nose of graphite and tobacco. Integrated tannin and dark fruit. Medium integrated finish. A complete and we'll balanced wine. Drink now, it's not fading but doubt there is much to gain. I wish Randy was still making wine. I remember the night I bought this years ago (back when it was a huge splurge in life). Glad I did.

Opened and not decanted. This was the last bottle opened out of 5 for 8 of us. Slightly astringent and watery. Fresh black fruit I was looking for some silkiness and found none. Because it was consumed so fast I don’t know if it would benefit from air or if it is in decline. Good as it is right now.

(Match Butterdragon Hill Cabernet Sauvignon) #3; COLOR-dark; NOSE-black currant; charcoal minerality on the back-end; TASTE-very dry; big firm back-end tannins; good dark fruit upfront (blackberries & small sour blueberries); a little oak; some heat on the back-end (should blow off w/ some age); should last a good 12-15 years; very well made; shows more realness than many Napa cabs; GV-90
