  • Color is still dark crimson with roughly 1/4" bricking at the rim. This wine smells fantasticly old world with cassis, forest floor, leather and spice. The flavors are very claret like. As is common with old Zinfandel, this wine has evolved into another "animal". It posses a silky texture, with superb savory flavors in addition to the aromas which continue on the palate. The finish has great length with lingering flavors that really compliment. It is perfectly balanced, the tannins have basically erroded yet the acidity and structure keep this lively and fresh. I loved this wine.

  • BERRIES, FIGS, AND HERBAL NOSE. DEEP DRIED FRUIT IN THE FLAVOR, FIGS, AND A ALMOST A SWEETNESS IN THE FINISH, SIMILAR TO A PORT. NICE LEGS AND COMPLEXITY. LONG FINISH.
