I really like this wine. Great complexity, balance and finish. Hints of pear followed up by hefty green pepper, green tomato, a little melon, and a touch of citrus . Veggie notes lead by the green pepper are the dominant force with the grapefruit and lime coming in second and the smell of figs floating around the whole thing. Pro reviewers have also mentioned gooseberry and passion fruit. I'm not familiar enough with passionfruit to comment but I do get the gooseberry. Definite buy. It paired well with wild salmon lightly poached in a pesto and marscapone beurre blanc shallot sauce while listening to KD Lang sing Hallelujah by Leonard Cohen for the opening ceremonies of the 2010 Vancouver Olympics. Hallelujah.
