  Upon initially opening it tasted disjointed and "off". Was initially concerned this pinot was way past it's prime. After about an hour discovered it was just tight and needed time to open. During this time the wine expressed nice notes of spice, soft tannins and fruit up front. However discovered after around another half hour the taste started to deteriorate. Only having one bottle am unsure if it was just this bottle of if this particular vintage has seen better days.
