This is ok but nothing special. Part of the case of summer whites. Fairly nondescript. Agree with prior notes that there is a tropical fruit thing going on but it's not working for me.

This is the perfect reason why we like Chenin Blanc from South Africa. It has some richness and rounded edges, but still enough acid punch to keep it interesting. Compared to a Sauvignon Blanc or a Pinot Grigio, it is not as sharp, much softer and more civilized. There is still plenty of fresh fruit, like mango, lemon and melon, but especially a little taste of banana that really sets things off. There is a touch of that green apple acidity, but it only enhances. The finish is a little tart, but still a very nice effort .

Medium dry, a bit soft with a semi-full mouth. Buttery with a bit of fruit.

Fresh, but with some texture, perfect and wonderful. Works at $12.99.

The family behind this is "reebeck" [sp?]? Named after an inn on the proptery. Clean, clear, melon-y delicious Chennin. Easy going at $10.
