Dark in the glass, like a younger zin...interesting nose, somewhat of spice and dark berry. On the initial view/nose/taste, easily mistaken for big Italian/old world. A bit tight and ungiving at first, like a young zin...over the course of an hour, really opened up with a whole plethora of tastes dancing on the palate. Dark fruits ruled, with some subtle aromatic poking through...actually a touch floral and delicate, in contrast to the big fruit. Smooth tannin structure, this one can age for 5-10 years easy. It is a complex wine, which needs a bit more time to evolve to its full potential. Lovely and interesting!
